Quality & Validation
Validate Before You Commit
A concrete, step-by-step validation path — from component matching through final inspection — so you can confirm fit, function, and finish before production and at every stage that follows.

The Validation Path
Eight steps from match to dispatch
Each step is a concrete checkpoint — not a quality slogan. Move through them in order to reduce risk and confirm the packaging at every stage.
- Step 01
Packaging Component Matching
Before any sample is made, the bottle, closure, applicator, wiper, and pump or dropper are matched as one system so each component fits the others and the formula.
- Bottle
- Neck finish, thread, and opening are matched to the closure and applicator.
- Closure
- Cap or closure is selected to seat cleanly on the bottle neck and seal reliably.
- Applicator
- Dropper, brush, or wand is matched to the bottle and the application method.
- Wiper
- Wiper ring is matched to the applicator to control wipe-off and dosing.
- Pump / Dropper
- Pump or dropper mechanism is matched to the formula and target dose.
- Step 02
Sample Review
A physical sample is reviewed in hand so the brand can confirm appearance, assembly, function, and decoration before moving forward.
- Physical Appearance
- Color, clarity, surface, and overall finish of the bottle and components.
- Assembly
- How the bottle, closure, applicator, and wiper fit and seat together.
- Function
- Dispensing, dosing, and application behavior of the assembled packaging.
- Decoration
- Print, foil, coating, and label placement and quality on the sample.
- Step 03
Functional Validation
Functional checks confirm the packaging works with the intended formula and application. Specific test methods and standards are confirmed per project — SEALAND does not claim standardized test performance without verification.
- Formula / Component Compatibility
- Confirmed as a buyer/supplier step with the brand and, where applicable, the formula manufacturer — TBD per project.
- Dispense & Dose Check
- Dispensing volume and dose consistency reviewed on the assembled sample.
- Closure & Seal Check
- Closure seating and seal reviewed on the assembled sample.
- Transport Handling
- Basic handling review of the assembled packaging — detailed transit validation TBD per project.
- Step 04
Decoration Inspection
Decoration is inspected against the approved sample so color, printing, hot stamping, and surface finish match the brand direction.
- Color
- Bottle color, coating, and decoration color matched to the approved reference.
- Printing
- Screen print registration, coverage, and legibility inspected on the run.
- Hot Stamping
- Foil adhesion, alignment, and finish inspected where hot stamping is applied.
- Surface Finish
- Coating, frosting, and overall surface finish inspected for consistency.
- Step 05
Packaging / Assembly Inspection
Assembled sets and retail boxes are inspected for correct assembly, component fit, and presentation before approval.
- Component Assembly
- Bottle, closure, applicator, and wiper assembled correctly and consistently.
- Box & Insert
- Retail box, insert, and fit reviewed for correct seating and presentation.
- Cleanliness
- Assembled packaging reviewed for dust, residue, and foreign matter.
- Step 06
Pre-production Approval
Production does not begin until the brand reviews and approves the sample — finish, decoration, and assembly — in writing.
- Sample Sign-off
- Brand confirms appearance, function, and decoration on the physical sample.
- Specification Lock
- Components, decoration, and assembly details are locked against the approved sample.
- Approval Record
- The approved sample and spec are recorded as the production reference.
- Step 07
Production Quality Control
During production, the run is checked against the approved sample so output stays consistent with what was approved.
- In-process Checks
- Appearance, decoration, and assembly checked at intervals during the run.
- Reference Sample
- Production output compared to the approved sample throughout the run.
- Deviation Flagging
- Output that deviates from the approved reference is flagged for review.
- Step 08
Final Inspection
Before dispatch, finished packaging is inspected against the approved reference so the shipment matches what the brand signed off.
- Final Appearance
- Color, decoration, and finish inspected on finished units before packing.
- Final Assembly
- Assembled components and boxes checked for correct fit and completeness.
- Shipment Review
- Packing and labeling reviewed before the shipment leaves.
